Week 19/Gender's

It's been a while since my last update. It was an eternity until my appointment this week with the perinatologist. We traveled almost 2 hours to visit with her this week. She completed a 45 minute scan of each baby. Baby A was first. They checked the heart, brain, bones in both arms and legs, the spine, down to the very last line of the lip. Baby A is perfect. Soon we see between the legs and Baby A is a GIRL! We were so thrilled. I got choked up for just a second and the tech soon started scanning Baby B. My focus quickly changed to make sure B was ok too. We again saw the brain, all the bones, the heart, kidney's, stomach, spine, face....and between the legs......Baby B is a BOY!

My husband and I could not be more thrilled. We did not go into the ultrasound hoping for any particular combination. We only prayed for two healthy babies and that is what we saw. We have waited so long for them. But having both a boy and a girl is super special.

We've picked their names. Ava Marie & Mason James

Here are a few of the 3D/4D photo's we had taken later in the day. They are so precious. Mason didn't take very good pictures of his face because his sister had her tooshie in his face the whole time. Between her and the membrane his face is all distorted in most of the pictures.
